Be On Time

Did you know you can come VERY sick if you don’t go to the bathroom often?

YES, it true. Your blood flows through the kidneys several times a day, to be filtered. Everytime you eat or drink something, it gets in your blood and the kidneys go to work. The things that the body cannot use, are sent down tubes in the pelvis which come out of you, as urine. This is toxic to the body, and if held in can make you sick. The food you eat and drink goes into the stomach and passes through the intestines connected to the stomach. The things the body needs are absorbed in the intestines. The stuff the body does not need passes into the large intestine, mixes with water, and turns brown (like dead plants do). It is waste that is removed from the body. The brown waste (bowel) is toxic like the urine is, and if it sits in your body it can make you sick.

The intestines are long tubes that wrap around, going up and down like a roller coaster. When food goes through the intestine, it may not be able to be pushed up the “hill” to the high part of the roller coaster. This means it may sit in the low part and rot because it has nothing to push it along. This is why it is important to eat foods with fiber and roughage like apples, oatmeal, nuts, and seeds.
There are diseases of the bladder (where the urine is) and the intestine you can get:
  • Inflammation/infection of the bladder which may cause blood in the urine
  • Bladder cancer or obstruction in the bladder causing the bladder to swell
  • Cancer of the small or large intestine
  • Bleeding or inflammation in the colon (a part of the intestine). Blood in the bowel
Some people urinate after they eat or drink something. They have bowel movements every day. This is normal for some people. Others may go every other day, which may be normal for them. Everyone is different. Just make sure you drink water to clean out your system. Eat foods with fiber and roughage to keep your intestines clear. Exercising/moving also helps to move the waste along. We can do things to help our bodies…help us. We are beautiful. Be happy. Be healthy. Be on time.

Water – Its Not All Wet

Did You Know that over 50% of your body is made up of water? That’s right. Who knew.

Drinking water is important for us to do everyday. Every organ of the body needs water to survive. Water is needed to help keep our bodies cool. When you have been moving around a lot, running, jumping, etc your body can get overheated, your tongue gets dry, you may sweat. This is a sign that you are thirsty and should drink water. Yes, you can grab a pop, but water does not have any calories. You won’t be thirsty a few minutes later.

You lose water when you urinate, and sweat, so putting it back is key. If you have pain, constipation, your muscles hurt, or your urine has a strong order with a yellowish color, you need to drink water. Water is used by the blood to give oxygen to your cells. It helps the skin stay clear and young looking. Helps the kidneys filter the blood. It helps the liver get rid of toxins in the body. It also helps the teeth stay strong and healthy.

If you can’t drink the water from the faucet, buy a water filter, or bottled water. Flavored water is good, but be careful that there is not more “flavor” than water. So drink up. At least 8 glasses of water a day.  You will feel better and you will see the results in your body.
